Hey everyone, my name is Ryan, and I have a Leroi D-140 Centaur tractor in need of some parts. I am needing the rear main bearing
cap, main bearings, and a set of thrust washers. If anyone knows of anything or any place to have new ones made, buy NOS, or used,
please drop a reply, or email me @ [email protected].
 
No main bearing cap that has been taken from a different engine is going to work. I would make one (but I have the technology). A good used one that has been built up smaller on its inner bore then ground so that it is a only few thousandths smaller, then the whole block is line bored to match the original specs. I can't imagine finding a cap that would work without machining. Jim
 
Hello Ryan welcome to YT! I cannot help you with where to find parts it is a possibility that others may chime in with that info. I am just going to throw this feeler out. Are you aware that the main bearing cap off of one engine even though it is an identical brand, CID and model cannot simply be swapped onto another engine and be able to work properly. Unless you are extremely lucky. The cap when swapped onto your block needs tightened down aligning it properly then torque to the proper spec. Once fit the ID of the bore needs to be smooth with no offset at the parting line. Then it needs measured with a bore gauge or a snap gauge and micrometer for proper ID tolerance and roundness. If the bearing is fit without this being checked it is likely the crankshaft will lock up when the bearing cap is tightened down. Just thought I should share this incase you did not know it. I will attach a link to some info on your machine so others who are curious what you have can give it a look.

A used cap could work if the whole thing was line bored so all pieces fit together in the correct manner. Other wise like already said things will not match up to work.
 
See if you can get a hold of YT poster Richard Aiken. He posts as RAiken, last time I was at his place he had a couple and one was parts as I remember. The main cap will need to be align bored unless it fits by happenstance.
