work harder with ihc. carry seed and fertilizer from truck to
planter? id think id put truck behind planter

Keep in mind those days sometimes the battery would go dead from all the starting without running enough to keep starting after while. We used to do something like that and let the engine run for a time while we filled it up. We also used to back up to the truck to put fertilizer in with 2 5 gallon buckets a tone at a time with the 8 row planter. Filled every 10 acres. Plant 80 to 100 acres in a day you knew it. We usually had dinner at the trunk of the car when mom brought it down to us.

Ahh yes, i had a 8 row 58 planter, i had a old Ford Truck, with a low side all wooden box, I would back it in in front of the Fert box's, [barely fit] and shovel two of them full, move it too the other side! A lot of work for a $1:05 @ bushel corn, but it was better than what my Dad had !

Planter has vegetable seed buckets and dual chemical/treatment units on each row.
Four row planter and tractor pulling it has duals on it. Guessing very light soil
or lots of care not to compact seed bed. Truck is a stake body so bagged fertilizer
at lower rates than needed for corn is possible. Guy is to clean to be planting for
half a day,LOL.

Maybe he does. They're not filling the planter right now. They're eating lunch!
