Primatol ?

My 25 gallon tank sprayer is having difficulty with primatol. Primatol turns white when adding water. If it sits very long enough, it forms a white screen choking cream like glue.
There is a main screen on the pump and a screen on each nozzle. I'm constantly cleaning both screens.
Is there a way to stop primatol from choking the nozzles? My pump can't get every last drop out of the tank so I add new mix to the old mix.

I regret ever buying primatol.
I bought 2.5 gallons and have about .5 gallons left over.

This may be totally off base and I've not used primitol, but, I've cleaning a lot of gunk put using a small quantity of Dawn detergent to break down the mess. It might be a quick check to put some in a jar to try. Just a thought.

did it freeze over the winter? pramitol the herbicide breaks down after it freezes.

Use courser screens and nozzles then cut the pressure down and drive faster to offset the nozzle size.

I made a screen to put over the pickup ube.
If that fails, I'll use your idea.
I'll remove the 4 nozzle screen and flush out the supply line.

Assuming you did about 1.5 acre your rate is correct. It will be difficult to get the amount of carrier they want out with that thing though at 150-200 gallons per acre!!! Thats an exceedingly high rate. My guess is not enough water. If you read the label you will see their suggestion for a carrier also isnt water and therefore its oil based most likely...Im not going to post that though as it seems a little anti-treehugger even to me especially at that rate I cant believe that label got approved must have found a man at the epa asleep with the stamp.

I'm not doing acres, only my driveways.

I am not familiar with primatol however I have been applying pesticides for 40 years. Some pre emergent herbicides need MSO ( metholated seed oil) added to the water in the tank first to prevent the issues you experienced. It gives something for the herbicide to bond to in the tank. Rate should be higher than the herbicide rate.
Found this out after similar experience you had and did a lot of research .

I talked to my neighbor who was spraying with RM18. Roundup and something else.
He said his RM18 will turn to pudding if it sits for a while.

My pump won't get every last drop out and I didn't drain the tank, just added new.

The 4 nozzles on the boom chokes faster than my wand. I may use the wand to empty the tank and drain out the half gallon or so left inside.

I have about a half gallon of full strength primatol left over. Grrr.
