Can move into 5 gear. Is one of these plug the detent?

I would say the rear plug covers the spring and detent pawl for the 5th and 6th shift rail.

No help on the detent, but the alligator clip splice on a permanently hot connection right where your foot willpush it into the ground of the starter case needs help. Jim

The rear one with the blue pen is for 5th and 6th. Sometimes the fork gets messed up under the cover and causes problems.
