1086 IH diesel

New to me 1086 when u turn of key should the engine quit? I don't see any fuel shut off for the diesel, Is there a selinoid i am missing somewhere?

The engine shutoff is in the hand throttle, move it sideways and pull it all the way down in the lower dash groove.

Is there any adjustment as on the cable or throttle lever? it still runs in that position.

Check for a bent cable up by the throttle lever. See response by Pete23 in link. Very knowledgeable on IH stuff. I would NOT suggest looking for a stump to bounce it on.. Lol!
