Use to be little stores like that all around here in the country.
Our little community of about 150 people when I grew up had 4 of them.

I'm guessing the tanks are still in the ground. The vent pipes are still there. We took up lots of them only a few rural type stations.

We had the curve station when I was a kid. Half way between Oskaloosa and New Sharon on the S curve. Only about 3 miles from our house. We would stop there a couple times a year and get a 5 cent bottle of pop. The remains of the old store are still in the trees that have overgrown the triangle of land outside of the curve in the road.
