I love old pictures like that and that field looks nice. I've never had any luck with a single gang disk.

Notice the long sleeve light colored shirt and wide brim hat.
Just like all the old farmers around here.

Great picture. Single gang disc you only get to use half of it. Always have to overlap with one side to get the discing done.

neither did anyone else have good luch but some did an awful poor job of farming i can remember some of that when i was youngetr
and that was over 80 yrs ago every March the 1st was moving day for some and they retired doing just that

And add to the statement about moving often on March 1st....ever look at a 1940 plat book and see how many bankers, banks and local businesses owned the farms? Sad. Leo
