Price for Blackhawk Arps Half Tracks

Trying to get an idea what to ask for a set of Half Tracks. They were last used on a 1953 Ford Golden Jubilee around 1965 and have been stored inside ever since.
Original tires appear to be in great shape and hold air, wheels spin freely on hubs. Some minor surface rust but nothing rusted through.
Set appears to be complete
2 sets of steel tracks, 2 idler arms with tires and wheels, 2 axle adapter brackets and 2 Brackets to elevate fenders away from tracks.

Half Tracks located in Maine.

Normally when you come across those, they're worn out, they've been sitting outside for decades, and they're missing parts.

You've got something rare there, a mint condition, complete set of ARPS tracks that are a direct-fit for Ford NAA and probably other N-series and similar Ford tractors. The question is, will anyone care?

You need to advertise far and wide to get best price. Trying to sell them locally you'll only be able to get junk price. At the very least put them on FB Marketplace, maybe Tractor House. Shoot for the moon on price to see if some collector will want them. You can always come down, but you can't come up.

Iyt is unusual for me to agree with barnyard but I do on this one. Usually the chain links are worn badly and some pads are usually worn through. Also as he posted they are not in huge demand so casting a broad advertising net will be well worth the effort because the fellow who needs a set will pay more.

The only tractor I'm sure they fit was the 1953 Ford Golden Jubillee we had on the farm. As a young teenager I remember helping my dad install and uninstall them.

Would think that about any Jubilee collector would be glad to get those at about any price. Also remember when I was 11-12
years old seeing a Ford tractor at the local dealer with a set of those mounted on it.

Where are you located? I don't need them
myself, but I know of two people who would
buy them, depending upon location (and to
some degree, price)

I'm located in Maine.
What are you're two friends willing to offer ?

They're both in Wisconsin... so shipping
would be excessive.
As good as your set looks, I'd expect it
to bring $750-$1000... possibly more, with
the right buyer.

Yes, Maine to Wisconsin is too far.
Thank you for the price range estimate of what
you'd think I might get for my half tracks.

Those two tractors with half tracks look very impressive, are they both yours ?
Are the half tracks needed for the tractor work you do ?

They both belong to my cousin. We just got
the halftracks on the 4000SU last month.
They're his sap gathering tractors. Lets
us go through snow and mud without tearing
up the trails in the woods. The 4000SU was
intended to replace the 850, but we had
some issues with wheel clamps, so it was
good that the 850 was still here. I think
he's planning on putting a Dearborn dozer
blade on the 850, now.

The 4000SU travels along handily with those half tracks. Your access trail looks well packed down and smooth.
You folks must get pretty busy gathering sap and boiling it down ?

I might be interested. I'll be heading to the Connecticut/Massachusetts area this summer to visit 2 of my daughters that live in the area. Last time I went out I made a trip to Maine. What part of Maine are you in?

I wish I'd been out there to video when he
was breaking the trails. Way more
impressive. Watched him drive over a
waist-high snowbank that the township snow
plow left... just crawled right up and
over. The trails are mud by the end of the
season. He started with a 7710 4x4, but
that left knee deep ruts all over. The
smaller tractors with halftracks, pulling
the stoneboat, leave the trails in nice
shape.
We tap 650-700 trees on about 20 acres.
Could easily push it over 1000, but the
650-700 range is as much as any of us want
to tackle. Plus, a good collection day
can max out his storage capacity, even
when he starts the boiler immediately.
He finds other uses for the tractors, but
hauling sap is the main excuse for having
these two.

Near Farmington, Me which is about 90 miles north of Portland.

A breaking trail video would be very interesting to see.
With 20 acres to gain access to 650-700 trees,
there must be allot of trails to be maintained .

Thank you all for your help.

Today (30 April 2023) I post these Half-Tracks For Sale

I'd like to thank you folks again for your comments and suggestions.

The half-track set was sold this morning.
The new owner plans to use them on his 8N tractor.
