Splitting Farmall C

2nd time around, different tractor. Clutch is going out so time to split . Back half supported, front hooked to my engine hoist. All wiring, hoses ect are removed. 6 bolts holding the tractor together removed. I can get the tractor split about 1/2 inch and noting more. No amount of pulling, adjusting heights of front and rear, pry bars or profuse cussing has completed the split. What am I missing? The first one of these I did came apart with just a little argument, but this tractor not so much. Any tips or tricks?

If u have done one already u know about all the bolts. So
maybe the pilot shaft has grooves worn into it with the
clutch hub preventing the pull apart. Just a thought as
nothing else can hold it if it ready to split and you say it
moved 1/2 inch out so that means the pilot brg. Should
not be holding it.
