Will NH hay head work on John Deere

I bought a John Deere 3800 chopper with corn head, and I have a New Holland 770W hay head wondering if it anyone knows if it will work.

Chopper head mounting is NOT universal. It is brand-specific, and often MODEL-specific within a brand. The heads off one John Deere chopper may not fit other Deere models for example.

The New Holland head will not fit directly. It could probably be adapted, but you'll be on your own figuring it out.

How bad do you want it to fit, talk to Bish Enterprise, out of Giltner Nebraska, they were the people that made JD cornheads to fit other combines!!!

Farm Shop Owen WI makes adapters to put NH 824 corn heads on Deere choppers. But you should be able to buy a good Deere 5 1/2 ft hay head for $500 or less. $800-1500 should get you a good 7 1/2 ft one. Tom
