WOW, what a find, there was one at the Johnson Farm here close to where i live, it just got hauled away for salvage about 10 years ago, that s should be in a museum somewhere!!

I grew up in Towner County North Dakota and there were some of them on the bigger acreages there. There is an earlier version of this at a farm museum in Egeland, ND and I have pictures of it, but not sure where the photos are now.

Neat--I went to a sale in Western Kansas 10 years ago to buy one of those big cast iron Case Abes and they had one of those combines on it--Never knew Deere made something like that--BIG for its time. This one had galvanized tin like a Gleaner though so I looked on the web just now and found this one. Did not get my Case Abe--went for $8800-It was the Wife's birthday though so I bought her a Corvette--Thanks Mel

Those were designed by Caterpillar, and soldfirst under Holt or caterpillar kame. Deere bought the combines line from Caterpillar.
