Case Combining

(quoted from post at 20:29:03 03/15/23) Nice picture. Should have enough power for that combine.
Even the 730 had enough power for that combine. The 930 was overkill and the 2090 was just something I wanted to try out on one field. I think we already had the 510 Massey by that time anyway.

Rusty, that could be interpreted to say the 2090 Case turned the 460 combine into a jigsaw puzzle - and it probably could have! I'm glad it was just the photo turned into a jigsaw puzzle. :)

That 460 combine had it's share of problems. Running it with the 930 it destroyed the gears in the gearbox combining fall rye. Pretty tough straw but that combine did not feed well all the time either. Another incident we had the left side axle break on a sidehill and the whole machine dropped to the ground causing major damage to the elevators. Luckily we found a parts machine locally and were able to get the necessary parts to get going again.

No doubt it is easier and less expensive to put the combine back together in a computer puzzle than in real life.

(quoted from post at 09:12:15 03/16/23) Still have that '64 Pontiac?
I wish, but no, its long gone. I took my driver's test in that 64 Laurentian. My brother drove it for a while but moved way up to a 67 Buick Wildcat with 430 engine. The Pontiac was either traded off or sold.
