Some people would rather not have the picture posted before they do the jigsaw so I don't. That was a good day with the Cockshutt 50. Wish my dad had still been around to see his old tractor in the parade and then doing the threshing demo.
If you notice the JD 4020 in the background that is my old buddy also known on youtube as "deeredon".

Does that threshing machine belong to you or to a historical group? Also what brand and size is it? Where I volunteer (Farmamerica) there is a McCormick Deering thresher with 22 inch cylinder. It hasn't been used in a few years as the mode of operation there has changed a bit.

Thanks for these very nice photos and like MasseyHarris nut, I don't do the puzzles as I'm way too slow at that.

For those who may not know, the picture can be seen before working the puzzle by clicking on the scenery button at the top of the page.

Hi Ron. Not my threshing machine as it was brought in by another person. Its a Case but I don't have the specs. on it. I'll have to check the video to see if I got a clear shot of the data plate on the side of the machine.

Cockshutt on the thresher

Rusty,

I really like that video. Thanks for posting it. Reminds me of when I sat on dad's W30 McCormick Deering when it was powering his threshing machine in about 1947 or 1948. Looking down the feeder from the tractor perspective, I'd say that is at least a 28 inch cylinder or maybe even a 32. Case made some really good threshing machines.

My bad memory doesn't remember what brand you have out on your pasture hill.

My threshing machine on the hill is a Nichols and Shepherd Red River Special. Not sure on the size but I think its a big one. A lot of these old threshers went for scrap iron but I happen to have saved two which will come as no surprise to some.
