Only made nearly seven and a half years! (Sale date October, 2015.)

This one wasn't babied or kept clean or on a maintainer, and was in a vehicle that sits unused sometimes for months.

I'm IMPRESSED!

HA HA, i got double that from my 2008 honda quad. went 15 years and just replaced it . many many stops and starts on it. went through
2 starters though. them dam magnets keep letting go . usually very easy to get 10 years out of any battery. replaced the original 2013
jeep battery this fall.

I think luck has more to do with it than anything else. I've been driving for 64 years and can only recall one battery failing before the warranty expired. Interstate.

OTOH, I replaced the OEM battery in my Tundra a couple of months ago. Sold new Nov 2012.

Where you live has a lot to do with battery life. Deep south we have an average battery life of 3.6 years due to heat here. Newer vehicles actually have a battery blanket around them now to shield off the excessive heat to help us down here. Northern US can have a 7.x year average battery life per the chart. Way up north gets short again. Other things like ecu drain, surface drain can also affect the life.

This must be the year. I just replaced an Interstate battery in my (old beater) pickup that gets seldom use. My battery was also 7 years old. The new one was spendy for all the more I use that truck, but when I want to use it I want to turn the key and go!

Got a 1998 Ram 1500 and still on the original battery. Have noticed lately though that
it is cranking over a little slower than normal. Will be replacing it though so I
don't get stranded somewhere. I know the next one will not last 25 years. Been very
lucky with the original.

i just happen to get about 7-8 years out of my batterys also, but i got most of them sitting on 3/8 thick conveyor belting, and i am in the northern region!

I have used a different battery in my Silverado every time. 5
years each. Its a 2005 and in 2010 it got one. 2015. 2020. In
2015 I switched to a dual post and added a master disconnect
as its been sitting more. No change really as I needed a
battery during the shortages. Ac Delco original Die Hard first.
Caterpillar second was nice with part number easy to find.
Currently an advance auto brand I cant even remember.
I know some people who yank the batteries out of their
tractors and store them in the shop who get 10 years easy out
of their maintenance batteries. To me checking the electrolyte
level isnt worth the time.
