Got my NH 1409 discbine home.

Left at 5 this morning and drove 210 miles to pickup the discbine I bought last December. Picked it up south of Dekalb IL and pulled it back to Wi. I hooked up the lights and pulled it right up interstate 39 to Rockford and then west on 20 and north to home. Pulled just fine and we kept right with traffic, even passing some slower tractor trailers. Not sure it was legal but the state trooper I passed setting did not seem bothered. Seller said it has never been rained on since new. He stored it in his shed since December as I did not want to get any calcium on it. Hopefully this one lasts untill I quit farming. Tom

Looks good and should last. Up here on the poverty plains we farm with 30 to 60 year old equipment. I am sure that the original buyer of much of my equipment is no longer alive. Will seed my crop with a 39 year old AC 8070 this spring. Was looking to get another tractor but the recent grain price declines made that a more longer term prospect.

Looks like new.
I can see the 7720 with the hfwd that you want to partt out. Do you have pictures of the rear axle?

Lots of crops put in and harvested each year with equipment that is the same age as the operator. So long as it works as intended and you can get parts for it why not ? I farmed most of my life with equipment that the previous owners were either in their last days or already dead, and many times their equipment had been waiting in a shed and not used much in the years before I bought it.

I have had same model for 10 years and just works great, you were very close to my place picking that up at least within 30 minutes.

I don't think the 7720 axle is the one you want but I will get some pics this morning. It was just delivered on Monday of this week. Tom

Clean looking machine. We hauled a LOT of stuff home from Archbold Ohio and had to take it on I94 and US 127. Balers, choppers, corn pickers, pull type combines, you name it. We never gave it a second thought.

Tom! I cannot BELIEVE you endangered yourself and others doing such a DANGEROUS prank! How do you not know those tires and hubs are only rated for 40 Kph?!? You are lucky you did not end up dragging it into the driveway on its belly! You shoulda hired me to do it :p

Nice rig, glad you got it home safe.
