Working on a MF 563, about to wrap it up. The fuel lines are leaking/weeping at the fuel cooler. Its a nylon braded/wrapped line that I assume is not SS enforced. It also has a protective sleeve where the worm drive clamps fit.

What is that fuel line and protective sleeve.

One more thing, the front bumper covers the axle pivot grease fitting. What in the world its a factory bumper/brush guard could they not have put a hole in it for greasing.

If you want the original style, check with a local diesel injection pump service shop, they'll probably have some similar line/hose.

You can put some heat shrink sleeves under the clamps, if you want to.

Do you know what pressure the line is subjected to? Since it uses clamps it likely can be replaced by off-the shelf automotive fuel injection hose from an auto parts store.

(John Deere tractors made in Germany used line of that type starting quite a few years back, for lack of a better name I call it 'Euro'' fuel hose. I've replaced it with the line I mentioned above with great success.)

Sounds about like the fuel line used for trucks from the tank to the filters then to engine. Most truck parts houses would have it on hand. After about 20 years they get porous and will leak through the hose at any place along them. I have a return hose on our telehandler to change this spring and I think I need to replace the fuel lines on the semi from the tank to the engine by way of the filters.

(quoted from post at 23:09:00 03/03/23) Room enough to replace the grease Zerk with a right angle fitting?

I found the grease fitting it was on the right side of the bolster covered with greasydirt.

Got the line off handed it to the owner will see what he brings back. At the tank and pump it has a 5/16 barb. At the cooler its 3/8" : ( GRRRRRRRRRR. Looks like they just rapped tap over the line where the clamp goes...

I guess I will be the first to ask................. fuel cooler???? Never heard of one. Why does this tractor need it??
