Last week I saw some Amish plowing their garden plots. This morning I seen they had some fields all done. This is in North Central Ohio Wayne co.

No field work going on around here. Even on the sandy ground a few miles west of me. I did see the Amish and the Mennonite kids playing outside of their respective schoolhouses.

Yup. back when i was a Pup by now out at my uncles we would have either been plowing or getting ready to . He farmed taters and he used crawler tractors he owned and Oliver O C 3 ( i ran that one ) and a O C 6 with three point and pulled and Oliver 3x16 three point and the O C 3 pulled and Oliver 2x16 . Him and the neighbor across the road also had a Crawler and a FERGGY 30 His Crawler was a D 4 Cat and he pulled five bottoms . Put all three in the same field they shrunk real fast and the nice thing about plowing with a Crawler was YA NEVER GOT STUCK . I was down at one of my old customers last week as he gave me some 20# slab weights for my new tonka toy and just like back in the old days of a bunch of guys setting around the wood burner another guy walked into his shop while the tree of us were talking and asked what we were doing an i said well We can't dance and it is to wet to Plow and he said ah NO ya can get in the fields now down here on the hills . As bob's place sets right along U S 30 Now this may seem funny to some BUT U S 30 thru my area is like the dividing line of weather You go south 10 miles they can be planting two weeks ahead of us North of 30 then ya get from 30 up to U S 62 then we can get going and a week later north of us 224 then the break comes up to Rt 5 and then up to the lake. Other then the inch of rain we got two days ago John boy and i were talking about maybe starting on his side hills . He wanted to do this last year but due to the wet spring and price of fuel he just notilled when he thought he could mud it in .

Father in law got to spread clover last week. Some seeps were still running wet. Had a nice stretch of three days here, talking cooler and damp in a bit, we did see Robins here , Sunday.
