Pretty simple question here. Did John Deere offer Front Wheel Assist as a factory option on the 5010-6030 tractors. I've looked elsewhere and can't find much on the subject

Nope, nothing from the factory. The larger New
Generation Deere Ag tractors did not offer a true
Mechanical Front Wheel Drive until the 50 series came
out in 1983. You could get a hydraulic Power Front
Wheel drive option on 20, 30 and 40 series tractors.
However, it was not available on the 5020 or 6030. Also I am
not talking about the Mannheim, built tractors which
may have had MFWD option earlier. I am going to
attach a link to the JD online parts catalog where you
can find this type of information by looking at what
parts are available for what tractors.
Edit to correct error: The hydraulic Power Front Wheel Drive was available on the 4520 and 4620, originally I had stated it was not.

I think hydraulic front wheel assist was introduced sometime during the 1969 to 1972 period. I am not sure if it was available on the 5020/6030 models or only the 3020-4620s.

Haha! There are a lot of things I am lacking to get that done. Actually having one being the main problem. Thanks to everybody who replied
 
There's an article on those Levy hydraulics FWA units in the newest Oliver Heritage Magazine. It says Mud Hog bought them and still builds them for combines.
 
Many years ago at an auction I bought an aftermarket hyd front wheel assist for a 3020-4020. It was missing the front rims and tires. I bought it because the center tube and mounting brackets were the same as a regular Deere wide front. I sent the rest of it to scrap. One more of the many things I should have held onto. Tom
