F162/163 Continental 4 cylinder differences

The big difference is the crankshaft has a different thrust bearing and crankshaft So the block and head is also different. Send me and e-mail and I will try to help you. J>
 
I have swapped them,on most of the welder engines the crankshaft isn't drilled for a pilot bearing, the small nose has to be cut off the clutch shaft and a pilot bearing machined to fit in the flywheel similar to the 44's.Also the water pump might not center the fan in the radiator.
