I have a Minneapolis Moline model V serial number 7V136. Can anybody tell me what year this is?

Thanks,

The frame appears from an Avery model that MM acquired in later years.

From a search of the serial number it appears to be from a BF Avery mode V built in 1952

Check out bvavery dot com , tractors and implements , serial numbers

The V was the predecessor to the BF and BG in the MM line. The model was in the BF Avery line when MM assumed ownership. Not to be confused with The Avery Company of Peoria Illinois. But you knew that.

The Avery or Moline Model V was built to compete with the farmal Cub but was not offset like the cub. It was a vegtable production tractor. Lot smaller than the Avery A or R that became the Moline BF to differante from the R that Moline had and still kept the Avery hearatige same as the Model V B F Avery was into small light weight tractor so they did not fit in line with Molines larger heavier tractors. Think you can find a picture and possible serial numbers at Tractordata.com The V also was same size as the John Deere L or LA tractors that Deere stoped building in 46 to go with the M and then MT that were the size of the BF Moline

Correction. MM made a model V in 1951 and 52. It was the same as the BF Avery model V. This was after MM bought out BF Avery.

F ound some information on tractordata. The Moline version was built only in 51 and 52 and 51 serial number starts with 6V186 ans 52 is 6V422 and they do have several pictures of them. Now the Avery version says 1947 to 1951 but no serial numbers listed but there are 2 pictures of them. No HP given as evidently not tested. Gives all measurements.

I am guessing 1952 since it is a '7V'. You can find out for sure on the BF Avery website. Just google Avery 'Tru-Draft' or some such and it should come up.
Does it have the Avery medallion on the hood?
