I've got this old picture of my mom in her parents car. While not a tractor, it might have been used for pulling who knows what.

Anyway I'm wondering if any hear know what make, model and year this car is.

Mom was born 1909 and I can't tell but I'm guessing she is under 20 years old. Picture was taken in Gresham Oregon.

Guess I should add.

Closer look reveals the license plate dated 1923, but don't know how plates back then were issued or for how long.

Dodge made a big heavy car back in that
day. I don't know my old cars good enough
to say this one is a dodge. But it would be
my first guess.

If they were like Cali, you got a new
plate each year, so I'm guessing that the
pic was taken in about 23, so she would
have been about 14. I know doesn't id the
car.

I'm going to say it's about 1920 Packard Twin Six (V-12) touring car.
A top-quality car. It looks like it's had some miles on it, including some dust
and dirt. You could order them with some options, including front bumper, colors, etc.
At about this time the two-tone style was in vogue. Generally, the fenders and splash
pans were black, so a fender-bender accident could be fixed with painted parts in stock.
The big V-12 had a painted radiator, the cheaper Six had nickel-plated, but you could probably
order it either way. (Upper class preferred less showy things.)

My vote is 1920 or 21 Packard Single six Touring. The two character lines in the rad and hood were kind of a Packard theme. It could also be a Studebaker of the same vintage but I still lean toward Packard.

Thank you all.

Thanks to all who have replied so far. I'm waiting for my soon to be 83 YO brother to reply also.

I own a 1919 Mitchell that looks a lot like that. Ill find a picture
and post it. A number of automobile manufacturers had 6
cylinder touring cars in the 1918-1922 era that looked similar.

Bob, I think you are on it. The downturn in the end of the front fenders and the little wrinkles at the top of the radiator are distinctive and match perfectly. Good job!

Bob ...... I sent the YT post to a friend of mine who is pretty knowledgeable on vintage cars and he said the same thing you did .... Willys Knight. He said they had a sleeve-valve engine. More photos in the iink below ...
Willys Knight photos ....

I don't know the car but my late wifes Grandpa's sister sowed the seats for the Willys Night in Toledo Ohio. This is in what was called the Overland factory. As there waas a Willys Overland car as well. The Night was a sleve valve engine. In all my books i have a section on that engine. Next door neighbor had both an Overland and a Night but sold the overland before I rember it, The Night was sold at the auction in 1960 after he had passed away. I was only 14 then and he had a 1919 LaCross Happy Farmer tractor.
