Kubota side by side stop running.

I got the Kubota diesel side by side out today for the first time in about a month to move some gates and after about 5 minutes of running it statred smoking blue smoke and then die then it would not start back. Any ideals what's the problem? gel fuel, water in fuel or frozen fuel filter?

Thanks

Yup, any and all of what you just mentioned could be the problem.
We don't know how cold it is by you. We don't know what fuel you are using. there is a lot we don't know. Your list sounds about where to start.

Our kubota diesel side by side easily gels in cold weather. Now we always go into winter with a fresh fuel filter and run that power service stuff in white bottle during winter. Haven't had trouble since doing that. Just a splash in tank each refill is all it seems to take.

Does it have a small plastic fuel bowl on it where the filter goes in? It collects water at the bottom of it and will freeze up if you don't clean it out now and then. It happened to me on one of my small Kubota tractors some time ago before I started replacing the filters and clean the bowl every fall before the cold weather. It would be the first thing I'd check.

First off it would help if you mentioned what model, Kubota makes several but lets assume you have the rtv 900. If it has power dump just hold the lever back and use the starter to jack up the bed. Then go to the right (passenger) side and look at the injector pump. Take a 14 MM wrench and back out the bleed bolt right where the fuel line goes in. Have someone crank the unit over. IF you DO NOT get fuel go on down the fuel line there and replace the inline filter. After that replacement try the bleed again. Once you get fuel flow at the bleed bolt it should run. My e mail is open if you need more help send me a good phone number.
