It's about time I caught a break..

Unloaded my tractor today to sharpen the mower blades for a job tomorrow. I had a flat on a rear tire. I was trying to figure out how I was going to get that 16.9 24 in my pickup. I thought I must have run over a nail last week mowing. Before I get too excited I aired up tire, and sprayed soap trying to find a leak. By chance I noticed air bubbles around the tube valve adapter. tightening up the adapter no more leak, All good. Stan

Glad you looked it over before taking it off. Had you took it to the tire center and when you picked it they told you no charge for tightening adapter, would you have told us?

Neither would I but I've considered writing those things down so people can read them after I'm gone and don't have to listen to the laughter.

I did that once, took a rear tire/rim to the tire guy, only to find out about those adapters.

My excuse, I was a teenager and just didn't know.

Saved a few guys from making the same mistake over the years.

I've had a few implement tires that only required a new valve core or tighten the one that was there. Its a good feeling to know a few cents in valve cores saves a lot of work changing a or repairing a tire.

Hey Chief, don't forget that you have posted pics here of your equipment. We all know that your mowing operation is one big constant break, LOL.

The same scenario happened to me two weeks ago. Hampton Roads Tire corrected my misfortune. I tipped the young man 10.00 for his efforts. The bill before the tip $25.00 Good people. CM

Same thing happened to me a couple weeks ago, rear tire on my massey half flat, thinking the worst, and trying to air it up, starts losing air faster, then I remember the inner valve, had one in the tool box... thank you lord
