Has anyone seen the Mini Series 1883
staring Sam Elliott, Tim Mcgraw, Faith Hill, and Isabel May
Out standing Mini Series
Great acting and Beautiful scenery.
Just a good western movie.
 
Yes. I We thought it was excellent! It tells the story of how the Dutton family came to be where they were in the series Yellowstone. Wife liked Yellowstone -- I did not. But yes, 1883 was excellent!
 
Yes, both Candy & I like 1883, 1923, Yellowstone and most everything else Taylor Sheridan has his hands in. He is one of the few producers that can keep me from sleeping halfway through a TV show. We are up to date on all series and patiently waiting for the return of the next episodes. Highly recommended if you like westerns.
 
So far, they want me to pay to see 1883 or Yellowstone, so I am waiting until they show up on one of the streaming services I use.

I do like westerns, but there are just so many that I can watch for ''free'' (not included in my subsciption viewing) that I am not paying extra for another one.
 
He also wrote the movie Wind River with Jeremy Renner, Gil Birmingham and Kelsey Asbille.
 
Yellowstone seems a bit over the top on the killing and violence but I'm no cowboy so maybe I'm wrong on that. I don't know much about horses but I liked watching the professional cowboys. The daughter in 1883 who died at the end riding for days in that blue vest without a hint of sunburn.
Yet I like them all.
 
TV is TV don't think for a minute its accurate.Like the Waltons show which is about Schyler VA near me,my dad used to say if they showed how it really was people wouldn't be able to watch it.
 
I'm watching it now,, a great story,,if you grew up in a cozy Eastern farmstead you would have no idea how tuff it was to settle in the old west.
 
I have watched it twice. I thought Tim McGraw and Faith did a great job. Sam Elliot also. Girl who did narrating and also character also good. New series is 1923 supposed to be pre Yellowstone. I have seen several episodes of it also. Not same characters, Harrison Ford is in it.
