Allis Chalmers virgin

Ran across a couple allis chalmers tractors the other day while out cruising around the backroads 20 miles west of our farm. Owner was happy to have them go to
someone who wants to do something with them. They came with two front end loaders two sickle mowers a bush hog and a mounted three bottom plow. One is a parts
tractor or a repower project because of a hole in the block. Going to be fun fixing the other one up. My grandson told me his favorite color was orange and that I didnt
have an orange tractor. So now I do.

I had one I donated to the silent action for our tractor pull club. I could not believe how they pull. You would never think they could pull that well. It will give ur j d D a run for its money.

They're a tough tractor. We grew up on one also. My brother still has it.
They're a bit hard to get on and off of, and whoever decided on the location for the ignition switch must have been hung over that day! But otherwise a good, tough tractor.

Not sure what the bracket is for. Assuming for some mounted equipment like a cultivator perhaps. The mower is actually a bush hog brand.

It might be a while before I get at the wd45 I have a 55 massey Harris and a 50 Cockshutt that where in line before the allis. But I may shuffle the line up.

At first look of the tractors I noticed some odd stuff compared to my old masseys and lots of these old tractors are hard to get on and off of because of my size.

Not only hard to get on and off but hard to hold your body in the position
they require. Don't think the WC, WD and WD45 would be any better than the CA
I drove. Seating position is the big thing for me.

yeah

I would agree. grew up around WC, WD and WD45 and a D17. when i was younger didn't think much about the offset seat on the W's but now it would bother me to run one all day.

When i was real young I could barely run the clutch on those as my left leg was barely long enough.
