I normally post this for the steam engine, this time I will for the horse. They are grading Price Rd the next road north of my place. the people are my great grand father Roy, his brother Don, and in law George. I don't know when this was but it was over 100 years ago.

Here it looks like the horse is on the water wagon.

All them horses were replaced by a 9N tractor.

A good friend of mine, now deceased was captured, as I recall the story, during the Battle of the Bulge and imprisoned in Germany. He nearly starved
as a P O W. Once he said when they were serving the soup he heard a clink of the ladle on something in the soup kettle. He was delighted because he
just knew it was a piece of bone, which he could suck for sustenance. It turned out to be a horse tooth.
After the war he farmed. He said he earned enough money farming to buy a Ford 8n, but never earned enough after that to buy a good team of mules
