Great idea, just need a 3 ft draw bridge on the house and back it in. make it easier to get out of the truck to unhook.

With some of the trailer backing I'v seen over the years, it would be easier for the driver to move the house next to the trailer.

I got an attachment for my bobcat so i can hook up trailers and back them in real easy, also workd great backing haywagons to.

perfect. i built my house in 2008 basically by myself. i did the exact same thing with my trailer. made the perfect work platform. saved a lot of time not going up and down the steps all the time. i may pull it back alongside the deck next time we have a party. best thing is you can move it out of the way so the tax man doesn't see it.

I am a MTL driver..more than loaded (aka overloaded)

No way i could do what you and other drivers do!

I lived in a house trailer during my college days and after I
got married.

House trailers are affordable housing for some people.

The issue is that in recent years they have been trying to price mobiles for damned near as much as a "real" stick built house. Also seen "modulars" that aren't really modulars, but actually glorified mobiles just built a bit better and priced absurdly.

Perhaps the busting housing bubble will bring things back to more sane pricing where a mobile with a perhaps a 20yr service life will actually be priced where they should be at around 1/4 that of a similar sf of conventional house.

(quoted from post at 18:17:18 01/01/23) Trailer's probably better made than the mobile home. Never saw one that came close to stick built quality.

Come visit. My mobile ('86 model w/ 2/6 wall studs, r-30 roof/r-19 walls, asphalt shingle roof) is built much better than most of the stick-built houses I've ever lived in.
