Are you using the ..Choose files.. button down lower in
the New post or reply window? There may be ways to
attach the photo files by the ..tag buttons.. I believe
you must be using on Modern. You have to have the
correct tag at the front of the file and closing it at the
back for that to work. I certainly do not know how to do
that. Look for the button as I described above shown
circled in the screen shot photo, it will allow you to
select the photo file. Then it will automatically include the correct syntax for the photos to post properly.

That is the box I was referring to in my reply on the other thread. Also, you will note that right below that it states what formats are allowed. If your pictures are in a different format than one of those it won't work unless you convert it. There are websites that will do that for free. Also, it states what the maximum size can be. If your photos are too large, you may need to resize them. Hope this helps.
