Got another 8 inches or so of snow yesterday, so have to get the snow blower going. Had the wet snow that was mostly rain last week, and a couple small snows over the weekend and early this week, now this one. Temps have beebelow zero for a while now and won't get above zero til Saturday. But it hasn't been bad as so far we have not had wind and the coldest temp has been -15. Looks like around the freezing mark for next week.

Had about 3 in central Mn yesterday. I talked to some friends in Pequot yesterday that were losing some trees and limbs due to loading. Apparently they had a bit more ice last round.

jonf,

It really does make your kingdom look pretty. :)

We lucked out last night and only got about 3 inches... but like you, we got 2 fluffy inches earlier this week and 8.5 inches of heavy wet stuff last week. So if we do get 40-50mph hour winds tonight/tomorrow, it will be crummy as there is plenty of white stuff to blow around.

Well Bruce, I agree with you. Here in the Thamesford area east of London Ont. Canada we have also been fortunate BUT the weather guessers have warned us for Thursday aft., to Saturday. Thursday aft., may make it fun for bussing from Woodstock to Thamesford tho.

Western Ontario has traditionally been called the snow belt. We rarely get the volume of snow that you folks in southwestern Ontario see. While we have about a foot of snow on the level right now, there isnt much a bit farther south near Oshawa. Toronto will be going crazy tomorrow and all weekend end if more than an inch falls. Their just not as tough as you and I , lol

We had some last night. Went out and mixed silage for the cows and feeders. Put tomorrows feed in the mixer. Might go back out and feed that tonight as tomorrow looks to be the worst with -40 wind chills. Tom

The only wonder here is the question, "I wonder why we are still here?" This week's weather has been beyond miserable with -40F wind chill factors many days. Glad I got to town on Monday when it was a balmy -9F for a high as its been all downhill since then. Today is sunny with -15F and wild NW wind blowing snow around. Not a fit day for man nor beast. Looking out my window at noon.
