I used these electrical connectors to remove the alligator clips

and attach a plug.
The plug fits the plugs I installed on my Kubota, Jubilee, Farmall and one riding mower. All batteries are hard to get alligator clips on.

I made the electrical connectors senior citizen old timers proof so I can't get the polarity wrong.
All parts were purchased at a flea market or you can get them off Amazon or ebay.

George. Im missing something. Not saying your description is wrong either. What terminal or device or connector are you using on the battery posts. I like your idea a lot because I have exact same connection issues for charging etc Thanks. Wingnut

I didn't show How I connected the flat plug wires to the battery post.
I use round electrical connections and put them under the nut on the battery clamp.

What I'm showing is How I remove the alligators and attach the 2 wire flat plug.

Looks like pretty light weight wire for a charger unless it is just a maintainer 12 gage wire would be small if you need to transfer a lot of amps for starting. That's what the wire looks like

My newest small charger came with a pigtail connector that I put on my motorcycle, as the battery is pretty inaccessible. It also came with a lighter plug, and my 4-wheeler had a lighter socket, so I can just plug into that to charge the battery.
