Not to steal your post but another company's tractor made it to the Antarctic also. This is a Massey Ferguson 5610 with the super duper heater option on it's way to the south pole in 2014. The word is they started from Novo airport and drove for 17 days straight without shutting off the engine. They had enough team members (8) that they could each drive an 8 hour shift and then change drivers Sometime around mid December they arrived at the South Pole with this tractor, Then they turned around and drove the tractor back to Novo airport arriving around Christmas 2014. Agco owned the tractor , it is storage somewhere maybe Europe.

Seen a National Geographic or something special on Antarctica regarding the Halley VI station . There was red, green and yellow tractors with both wheels and tracks towing the station .
No idea where or how they park or store all the station support equipment .

The tractor was followed by 2 modified pick up trucks (super duper tire option) to carry the other team members. And carry supplies, food, water fuel. The tractor got stuck in deep snow couple times. The supply trucks had to pull the tractor out.. One night they said the air temp was -56 F below zero.
