Fordson Plow????

I have this plow and don't really know what it is. When
I bought it I was told it was for a Doddlebug (Model
T).Also the PO said it was a Ferguson-Sherman-Roderick.
After picking it up it's only Ferguson-Sherman. The
deal between Ferguson and Roderick never materialized
because Roderick went bankrupt. Most people that know
Fordson has only seen two bottom's 3 point and never a
single bottom. Is this a two point hitch since it has
the five position hole in hitch or something else?
Majorman what do you know about it?

It is a Fordson plow, used with the early Fordson tractors. I had one years ago. The cover with the four bolt holes attaches to the tractor, and the plow is connected by a pin. You could leave the cover on the tractor and unpin the plow. A neighbor we had said that they could not afford the pins when they were lost or broken. They would make a new pin out of Hedge, or strong wood. He once told me that he spent all morning cranking on the tractor, and all afternoon whittling pins.

Looks like my Fordson F hitch . Top bolts center are approximately 4.5 inches . The length or distance from face of differential is approximately 7 inches.

I'm having a little trouble trying to figure out the principle behind this rig.
Is it meant to be a trip plow? Is the lever with the ball on it some kind of
way of adjusting how much it takes to trip? Is the crank meant to adjust the
angle the plow digs into the ground? And what is the bar that goes off to the left?
Finally, it appears to have a second attachment point below the pin hitch? Is there
some linkage from that to the bottom of the tractor?? I've never seen such a plow.
It must not have caught on.

No sir I dont see that . Scratch my head why that plow has that . Your talking about the hitch about three inches off the ground. I didnt see it at first. Im going to ask Ed or Duane next time I call them .i dont know anything about that plow . Thanks for posting it ,
All I know is the Oliver number 7 with rooster comb lifter.
If I see a side view of the plow , I interested in how (or what) the hand cranks adjusted.
As Im writing I never gave you the hitch height of the Fordson . Cause it looks like the plow you have would go very deep with my hitch height, Im confused ,must be something missing. Dont see how to get it out of the ground either.
