Can't read this serial number very well, can anyone tell what year tractor this is?

Front mount or side mount distributor?? If front mount it is 1948 to early 50. If side mount it is a late 1950 to 52

I cant either , the first number cant see it. Looks like
95973, but I think its the first number rusted up. Take
some emery cloth and sand it. Then you will see it.

That might make it a 1948 if there is no other number. At leastbpost the whole tractor also would help.

It looks like a number 1 in front of the nine.
I usually spray brake cleaner on them and then rub them with soap stone to see what shows up.

Those numbers, whatever they are only gives you year of engine build.

Upon further review, it does look like a 4.

My original guess was just a guess.

Brake cleaner and soap stone.

The tractor has a front mount distributor and rear inner axle seals and I was curious as to what year it is.
