Well it has been a week of misery with this cold but started feeling a bit better yesterday. Had my helpers come along with some groceries and helped me install the dozer blade on the 2090 Case yesterday. Some good video opportunities but I was too busy for it. I did run the camera today while doing some chores. Turned into a two part video . Takes almost 3 hours to upload a 9 minute video here.

(quoted from post at 21:03:44 12/11/22) Thanks for the walkaround. Reminds me of winter chores in southern Indiana when we had real winters.
Thanks, and of course these winters are not as hard as the ones we had when I was a kid.

As a kid I always thought I had a summer cold or a winter cold before anyone talked about allergies.

I had an upper GI.
Dr recommended I take allergy meds.
Sinus drainage can damage your stomach.

Sounds odd, take benadryl for an upset stomach.
It works for me..
News is saying hospitals are full of people with respiratory problems. Mostly kids.
Our schools are germ factories.

(quoted from post at 03:37:40 12/12/22) Wow, you guys out west have sure got the cold winter weather. I tried to like your video, but for some reason it wouldnt let me.
This is actually pretty normal weather. In fact I think our daytime high was a bit above normal. Just the S.E. wind that made it uncomfortable when I got away from the sheltered areas. Thanks for trying to like the video. Sometimes YT and phones have a mind of their own.

I rarely get colds anymore so this one is memorable. Depending which news you listen to our health care system is overwhelmed with sick kids and flu/rsv patients. Times sure have changed when it comes to health care and doctors used to make house calls.

(quoted from post at 10:02:09 12/12/22) You should get a couple of these and turn your tractor on while having coffee. Covering the hood with an old quilt or horse blanket would help also.

That is some pretty high tech stuff for my old machinery setup. I keep the fuel filter side of the engine covered with cardboard to keep the cold wind off just in case I don't have enough fuel thinner mixed in. Being parked indoors I've never had a problem that way. Fuel tank on top of the engine helps too as the block heater warms that up a little too.

Around the first of November I got what I thought was a sinus infection or another round of China virus. I went to the doc and it was RSV. It took our not so good health care providers a whole week before I could get the results of the test( a simple swab test). No treatment or meds were given to me( great medical care huh?) I took Mucinex DM tablets and Claritin-D and when I ran out I continued the Mucinex for another week. I finally stopped feeling sick about 10 days ago. I had never heard of RSV but it is common among babies and infants. It can be deadly for old folks to. Check out https://www.cdc.gov/rsv/high-risk/older-adults.html for more info.

I have RSV and am just starting to get over it. It will be 3 wks. tomorrow. I waited 2 wks. before seeing a DR., I wish I hadn't waited but several days I thought I was feeling better then it was right back.

Every day on the news I hear the latest on the rising numbers of "tridemic" cases. ICU over capacity and health care workers burnt out. Its hitting kids hard with a lot of absenteeism in schools. Hopefully I'll survive this one with no lingering effects. It'll be two weeks coming up Thursday since I first felt symptoms. Not bad today but occasional annoying cough and headache. Pretty much lost my sense of smell too although I could sort of smell the diesel exhaust when I started the Massey in the shed yesterday. Just to keep a little tractor content in this thread.

Not sure what your WI FI will support, but I can turn my block hearers on from Florida. My barns are nothing fancy.
It would be worth checking into.

All wireless here and I've never tested the range outside the house. A little exercise walking to the shed to plug in a block heater is probably better for me anyway.
