MF 65 Hydraulic Issue

I replaced my lift cylinder and got the lift cover back on and put new oil back in the case. Now I have no hydraulics for the 3 point lift. Am I suppose to prime the system somehow? If so, how do I do that.

With the pump being below the surface of the oil, it should self prime.

Might open the side covers and look in, see if the stand pipe is properly seated, look for oil roiling up beside the pump or raining down from above.

Are you sure the control linkage is right by the manual?

Just a reminder, don't reach in there with it running!

You make a great point. I thought it might be self priming as I replaced the oil last fall and didn't have an issue when I put new oil back in. I am not for sure I have it adjusted right. I can run the tractor with the inspection cover off? Can I adjust it from the inspection hole or do I have to take the cover off and adjust it then?
And I would never reach in when it is running, that would be extremely painful.

Thanks for that. I checked and yep, I put the levers on the wrong side. Once I fixed that, it all works now. The only odd thing now, which I can deal with is, the controls are now opposite. When I push it into the down position, the arms come up. Pull them to the up position, the arms go down, slowly, but they go down. Anyone else have that happen?
