I do some contract work in a quarry, the entry level job in the quarry is driving a haul truck. It's a wonder there aren't more pics like this.
 
I worked in Strip Coal Mine for 26 yrs and never seen one turned over. We had the larger end dumps. We used the end dumps for benching, stripping top soil and other jobs. Coal was hauled with trucks with belly dump trailers.
 
That pit should stop investing in junk! Tonka is the only truck that would have made it out of that mess.

In all honesty, the truck in the original post looks to be salvageable yet.

And why does that Tonka commercial look so danged old?? ;v)

Wife rescued a Tonka truck like that one from the trash at church.

They threw it away, too dangerous!

It's the only one that has survived the grandson's hard use! The plastic ones don't stand a chance, they are in pieces!
