CGELE brass electric solenoid valve 12v and it came with everything needed including hose barbs and clamps.
Best deal I've seen.
I installed a 3 amp fuse because that is the smallest I have
Solenoid uses 2 watts
About 0.2 amps.
Jubilee runs as it should.
Dang good tractor.
I hope my son likes it too.

(quoted from post at 17:39:27 11/22/22) Looks like I forgot to tighten a hose clamp.
ot a tractor back from an $850 repair and when ran it spewed antifreeze all over the place.....guy didn't fasten a hose clamp!! So now I had to spend an hour removing enough to get to the clamp & tighten it.

George, I asked in your first post about this-how many ohms did the old solenoid read versus the new one? I bet the old one is lower, but am curious to find out. Thanks, Mark

My ohmmeters are junk cheapie HF. They do a good job measuring
AC and DC volts and current.
When I short the leads together I may get 7 to 15 ohms when it should be zero.
My ohmmeter readings are worthless.

Like I said ohmmeters only show me there is continuity.

I don't put a lot of trust when I measure resistance.

One time I made my dad an accurate ohmmeter.

What ohmmeter do you have?

A digital Snap On-it is basically the same as a BK meter that our shop had. Cost maybe $145.00 years ago. I bought my own as trucks became more 'computer' controlled, to test wiring, and sensors, when diagnosing fault codes.
A solenoid can't have zero resistance-that is a short. It usually needs @ 2-4 ohms resistance. I think your solenoid was getting closer to zero, maybe as it warmed up, and that is what blew your fuses. Mark.

Do you math over.

2 watts and 12v.

I've managed to damage all my good meters
Most don't like 220v when on the ohm scale
How well does your meter hold up when you have senior moments?
Can you zero your meter?

Volts x amps = watts. Volts = resistance x amps. (Ohm's law). So, 2 watts at 12 volts is .6amps, right? That should not blow a fuse. Maybe I am not remembering the original problem correctly. Maybe we need a new thread-start over.
My meter is digital-it automatically zeros. If I mess up, there are 2 fuses in the meter that will blow. Only blew them on the 10A scale. So far! Still curious. Mark.
