Highway diesel in Owego NY today is the same as a week ago- $5.75/gal. But the fuel/gas price spread has widened beyond $2. Gas is $2.20 less than that per gal.
Local fuel delivery guy says the only thing they are short of so far is clear kerosene. Enough so that he believes they won't be able to cut highway diesel as much as usual. Which the only thing they use clear kerosene for!

Sounds pretty good compared to Sask. I saw just over $2 per litre here last week in town. Roughly $8 a u.s. gallon. Gas was somewhere in the $1.60 range, much cheaper than diesel.
 
Diesel is $2.25 and Gas runs between $1.65-$1.72/
litre. Just as many cars and trucks on the road as ever.

I like to give the guys I know that have a diesel pickup
a hard time about just paying a extra.50 cents per litre
so they can be cool

Being cool isn't as important as it used to be. My F350 diesel sits in the shed unless I need it. Most of my running around gets done in my Ranger with a 4-banger. My dad used to tell of the guy with a new Cadillac asking his neighbor what that rattling sound was when he went by with his model T. The neighbor said it was the money left in his pocket.
