No one works here.
I see state, county and city cops gas up here along with School buses.
Rarely I see landscapers and semis gas up here.
How does this gas station work? I never seen regular people gas up here.
Explain the ins and outs of country mark.
Can farmers get tax exempt diesel for their tractors here?
Was Ceres solution once called Co-op?
Farmers take their crops to a Ceres grain elevator.
I've seen Ceres deliver LP.

So tell me what you know about Ceres.

Is that today's price in TH?

Ceres is a farmer owned co-op.

Using their card they maybe are able to buy un taxed diesel on their account.

Don't have Country Mark or Ceres around here, but most of the local coops have 24/7 fuel stations. The price on the sign is what you pay if you use a consumer credit or debit card. They are usually within a few cents of the regular gas stations. If you have an account or contract you might pay a different amount when the bill comes, or you might get a credit if you use a certain amount. Other perks like Mudflap can get you a discount as well. Very handy for 24/7 access for law enforcement for example. They put their fuel out to bid two or three times per year I think. I don't know of any that sell farm (red) diesel from an unattended station though. Last I bought I had to get it during business hours and sign for it.

in missouri we have M.F.A.'S nobody works at some.i buy fuel at 4 diffrent 1's n 2 have people working at them 2 dont

Our local coop has a couple pumps with red diesel at their unattended station. No road tax added on. I think it is 65 cents cheaper than road diesel. I use it to fill my portable tank. No first hand experience but I've heard you had better not get caught by the DOT with red fuel in your truck.

Around here many co-ops have there own unattended pumps. I never looked if you can get red fuel there. I have my farm diesel delivered to farm so just fueled the truck there.

I've seen something similar around, don't recall the name, or if there is even a name on it.

Very low key, no frills, no canopy, no attendant, no prices posted, usually on the outskirts of town.

Just a couple of pumps, obviously not open to the public.

I live on a road that the largest town is 500 people. We have one unattended station in town,8 miles away is another, two miles farther is another. That's just in our county.

Thats a fancy gas station. The local Farmers Coop has several locations where there is just a couple pumps in a parking lot. You need to have a coop card to use them. Then there are others that take regular consumer credit cards. Can be very handy when the next sizable town is a long ways away and you need fuel.

I think Country Mark has a small crude oil refinery in Mt Vernon Indiana. We have one of those Country Mark gas stations over here about 30 miles from Ohio line. They get crude oil from wells in the Illinois basin formation which lies under southwest Indiana , southern Illinois, maybe parts of Kentucky. Their crude oil price was 81.96 on Friday. We can get gas or diesel from their station here with a Visa or Master Card, don't have to have an account there. They send tanker truck loaded over here about once a week..have not heard them say anything about a shortage but they only produce enough fuel to service parts of 3 states. Over here new Casey stations has cut into their business.

Those types of stations are everywhere and have been for some time all credit card pumps so why do you need a person one just opened up here in a small town 24 hr service

The above photo appears to be in Mt.Vernon,In.I think crude oil was delivered across Wabash river on the Dogtown ferry before bridge was built at New Haven,Il.

We had a Pacific Pride station down from the shop. Unmanned and serviced commercial accounts only, contractors with a fleet of trucks accounts like that. Good way to track your fuel usage on each vehicle. Printed reports and video keep employees honest.

We got our first "fuel stop" unattended pumps in about 1973. Open 24/7 they are very popular, particularly in tiny towns where they roll up the sidewalks about sundown.

George i owned an unattended diesel fuelstop in Switz city Ind back in 1984 . Had trouble collecting money weekly using old system.Explaine that semi getting gasoline. I do not know of any modern semi tractors using gasoline anymore.

I did readin past months that with direct injection gasoline large semi tractors may partly switch to gasoline

Looks similar to Applebee Oil here in St Johns, Ovid. It has a special computer chip key for access. Insert your key, enter your pin, enter the pump#. Go fuel up. This is how I get all my off road diesel and gas for the chainsaws.

Ours are mostly F/S coop stations. Use their special cards or your credit card. Lots of times cheaper than the attended stations, bad thing no bathrooms.
