I don't see a third axle.

I saw that. Maybe they're counting the steer axle? Probably just a mistake in the description. Gerrit
 
I wonder if it is a 15 direct or overdrive. Direct would have a good low gear for equipment then use 3.55 rear to get some speed over 50 MPH without winding it tight. 14 over doesn't have a very good low hole for equipment pulling. If you want a single stick the 18 spd is the cats meow. Can split the low side along with the top. I pull out of the field with an 18 and 3.55 on tall 24's works good with no clutch slipping to start out with over 120,000 some times.

It could probably go to work. Many newer heavy spec trucks are built with double frames. An old restored truck like that has an excellent frame while a thirty year old still on the road truck could have a rusty frame ready to break in two.
