John Deere B serial numbers

I've seen two different serial numbers for 1943 John Deere Bs. one is 136315 and the other is 143420.Which is correct and why are there two?

1943 year starts with 136315. 1944 year started with 149219 so it would be a 43.

I don't quite understand the question. Are these both starting serial numbers? If so, where did you see the second one? Could it
be a starting number for a certain variation?

Both are starting numbers. I saw the second one in a Serial Number Book by Kurt Aumann. Thanks

Are you talking about the start S/N for 1943 B tractor?? The 'correct' start S/N for
a 1943-B- tractor is 136315 and the year ends with S/N 149218..
