I'm amazed at the low cost of used combines. I understand they have limited uses, and get beat up pretty good in normal use, but there has to be something that can be done with them or something they can be good for after they are no longer good for harvesting. Hasn't anybody come up with a good repurposing idea for one besides as a snow blower? Seems like the drivetrain would be worth the price they are asking. What am I missing? Hell, for $3k, that would be an awesome toy to drive around my little farm.

I am really surprised on that 8640 JD. I would love to have a tractor that size, even though I have no use for one.

Best you can do with that nice 8820 is harvest with it.
