The long walk back to get a bigger machine to pull it out...

I regularly remind the wife not to dump the backhoe over since we don't have a bigger machine to rescue it.
 
BTDT. Had my 8N, with Bush Hog (tm) slide into my pond. No bigger tractor to recover with, but there just happened to be an oak tree within reach of the block and tackle! But, finally remembered to take it out of gear after about 5 feet of hard pulling. Easier after that. zuhnc
 
One day that will happen to me. When it happens I will need scooba gear to attach a tow chain. My tractor will barely stop due to oil soaked brake pads.
