444 diesel.

Cant find any information on how many Massey Harris 444 diesel tractors where built. Can someone help me out with that. Thank you.

i presume you mean the standard model. i have a 444 gas standard but dont know the diesels numbers which would be pretty low in the 3 year period.

I have a chance to buy one and just wanted to know how many where built. It is a standard model.

Does it run NOW? If not, and the PSB injection pump is broke good luck finding parts.

yep, thats why i wont buy that diesel tractor. i am a fan of the gas ones though. them pumps are the killer. case , oliver and massey used them . the diesel models were nothing special and cant even hardly give them away.my thoughts anyhow.

Hi rustred. Talked to a Massey Harris collector about it and they are super expensive to overhaul the injection pump for sure. And like Dieseltech said the parts are hard to find. Just thought I should have one in my collection but maybe not that one. Thanks for your input.
