Ive never seen an Oliver backhoe in my life, Olivers are a rare breed in south Alabama, these pics were taken in the small town of Clio AL in Barbour County

Some cool stuff there. That big one with the front blade looked interesting.
If you haven't tried it already when posting pictures load two then preview your post then return to post add two more preview ect ect.

I thought he was from Molino FL, north of Pensacola. I know the youth league ballparks are named after him there and I used to here him talk about Molino when doing Braves broadcasting

I can vouch for that as there are Welcome to Molino, Hometown of Don Sutton signs coming into the town.
He evidently grew up there before being signed by the Dodgers.

But was born in Clio AL.

(quoted from post at 09:28:44 10/13/22) Actually the backhoe is branded as a White, had Oliver on my mind
After a certain point in time White started putting their name on most of the farm equipment companies they had bought including Cockshutt, Oliver and Minneapolis Moline. The old names eventually disappeared.

Ten four thats good information Double07, I remember hearing him on a broadcast of a Braves game long
time ago taking about Molino FL and having relatives still in the Brewton AL area which is about 35 miles
north of Molino. I live about 45 miles east of Brewton, Don Sutton was a favorite of mine, Ive got several of
his baseball cards from my youth when you used to could buy a pack of gum that came with several cards,
got thousands of baseball cards and football too from my younger days.

Donald Howard Sutton was an American professional baseball pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball for 23 seasons as a member of the Los Angeles Dodgers, Houston Astros, Milwaukee Brewers, Oakland Athletics, and California Angels. Wikipedia

Born: April 2, 1945, Clio, Alabama, United States
