Serial numbers

I have 3400 Ford but very little knowledge about the tractor. I have found the model and serial numbers and wanted to know the year and any information you can supply. I think the model # is 2D18B but is difficult to read. The serial # *C336908* looks a little clearer.

The 2D18B is the manufacturing date code: April 18, 1972, day shift.

C336908 is a first half 1972 serial number (confirming production date code),
Romeo Michigan plant. Below is some further information about the 3400.
