Old Ollie at work

I planted some threeway forage monday with my Oliver old style 88 and my model 64 drill. Kinda nice to drive a tractor that is older than you are. The floor plate over the bull gears is shinny due to my feet
and the steering wheel is smooth as well. The paint is getting pretty thin. But then so is my skin. Next time I make one of those canopes it will be bigger.

There are many days in the summer when its nicer driving a open tractor with a sun shade, than being in a cab tractor with air conditioning. Sun shining on a dusty windshield can make it almost impossible to see much of what you are doing.
Id like to try riding one of those old Olivers, with the seat so far back, might be a fair bit of bounce?

I like the buggy style sunshades , heres my 1030Case with the shade, and my wife on the seat

I'd take a canopy over an umbrella every time. I've seen tooo many umbrellas tore up by the wind. Only drawback to a canopy is you can't stand up and stretch.

Used an 88 on my sawmill for a short time.
Very smooth power and plenty strong.
Thanks for the photos.

I can stand up under this one and do from time to time. It worked good durimg the middle of the day. but in the late after noon I had to keep moving it depending if I was headed east or west. I sure like your steps on your tractor. Now days I think I get more giddy about the steps I make for me to get on my old tractors as I do getting them ready for work!! Don't want to get them new Knees yet!
