Farmers are harvesting beans

(quoted from post at 05:38:03 09/13/22) I saw semis hauling beans to town 2 days ago..
Are farmers harvesting beans in your hood?

Coming home from Brazil last night I saw the same thing. Seems like they are getting an early start this year.

It will be Late October before our son's beans are ready here in NW SC.
They look much better after all the rain we have had the last month.

with all this late rain mine a still green and chest high. I tested some corn last night at 21% so it will be ready when I get my combine ready.

Do signs of beans turning yet here in NW Ohio. Corn husks starting to turn. Looks like corn harvest may be over before beans are ready.

Some beans here have lost their leaves, but most are still green or just starting to turn. Tested some corn on Friday 17% going to try some today , just hope all my junk stay together for a couple more years till I retire.

I don't have a hood to live under I keep them on the tractor. Beans are just starting to turn in a few places around here. Corn is green yet so no corn yet either.

Corn starting in West Central Missouri.

CC Cooks is a good place to get ruff sawn Red oak.
I sometimes take US 40 to travel to Plainfield, where my son
lives or Avon, where my daughter lives.

I'll honk next time I drive through Reelsville.

CC Cooks is where I bought the wood to make this China cabinet.

All the beans got planted late in my area so no harvesting going on..The yields will be poor due to a D3 drought....Corn harvest is about half over with yields from 0 to 80 bpa with 40 bpa being common.

There are a few guys here in south-central Kansas who have started harvesting soybeans but unfortunately it is with windrowers and not combines. It has become steadily drier around here since early summer and there are some beans that are beyond hope for producing anything but hay. Most of the dryland corn here has been harvested and according to a friend of mine who does crop insurance work the yields have ranged from about 70 bu/ac at the upper end all the way down to 20.

IWe sold timber to Cooks off part of our property. They were very professional from start to finish. My wife really likes the wood brick product they have on display in their office. We've been trying to figure out a way to incorporate it into our home.
