My nephew brought home a 340 farmall that he got reasonably. I told him I'd see if it ran. I checked fluids, patched up wiring and hooked up temp gas tank. It started and ran. Had 2 stuck valves, but ran. It wouldn't idle so off came the carb. Surprise

looks like the jets are not plugged , just the intake so it was getting enough gas to run. i see it has the spring on the needle to open it. go over it , check compression and a good tune up and should be good to go.
 
If you look verrry closely you can see some idiot broke one ear off the float shaft anchor and tried to JB weld it. I combined an old parts carb and this one and soaked the valve stems and got them freed up. It runs good but has rear end issues. That was the extent of my free check out.
 
what the heck u talking about? goes to show you what happens when u run with the intake pipe off.
