Whats the cheapest shipping Co to send parts with?

Sure aint Fastenal. Cost me $201 to ship 2 baler needles from Okla to Minn, when the guy I got them from, who was in Canada paid just $55 to ship them to me

Probably United Parcel Service. I think Fastenal is only
more economical at weights over 150 lbs which is the
max UPS ships.

There is no such thing as a cheapest company.
It all depends on what we call the lane.

I got 5 loads going from Memphis to New Orleans.
I got 2 loads going from New Orleans to Memphis.
So Memphis to New Orleans is going to be expansive and New Orleans to Memphis will be cheaper.

A differant company that is just the opposite will be charging rates just the opposite.

Three months later as I steal some of their New Orleans to Memphis freight and they steal some on my Memphis to Orleans
freight the rates will change to reflect this.

Guys that ship everyday check rates for every shipment a lot of the times because of this.

Do not let Fastenal fool you. They are just another LTL broker. Yes they have their own trucks and may haul your freight
themselves if the have a truck going your way; But they also interline a lot of it with LTL haulers like the company I work
for.

For the small guy your best bet is checking with several brokers. Freightquote; Unishippers; Schneider; Fastenal; ect and
get a quote from each. Each one of them will be checking several LTL carries in the process.

i dont know how the canadian guy only paid 55.00 to ship them needles to the US. it is definitly not that cheap. 150.00 sounds more
realistic. a person cant afford to ship parts anymore. also this spring ordered new head gasket for my 660. by the time i got it here it was
double the price with exchange and postal. no head gasket is worth 400.00.

I just walked in, as I always did a couple times I had used them in the past. It took a good 1/2hr as they said I now had to call in for a quote, ect
